St. Augustine and St. John the Baptist church
The former, romanesque church was built in the second half of the 12th century for the Norbertines of Doxau. Church was funded by Jaksa from Miechow, one of the Gryfit family. The church has undergone many changes and the monastery is home to many legends and traditions. The roots of many typical Krakow customs are to be found here, for example, the traditional Emaus church fair, which takes place on Easter Monday, or the Lajkonik parade which sets off from the church.
In the side altar, blessed Bronislawa found her place of rest. She was a woman of great love for her homeland and she was devoted to helping Krakow in times of need. Her tomb was a place of pilgrimages of noblemen such as king Stanislaw August Poniatowski.
